Foxglove - Dalmatian Peach

Sale price$6.50
DIGITALIS PURPUREA

My all time favourite foxglove! The perfect pale peach colour, and unlike other foxgloves is first year flowering so can be grown as an annual.

APPROX 20 PELLETED SEEDS

When to Sow:
Autumn to Summer

How to Sow:
Transplant

Light & Cover Requirements:
DO NOT COVER (needs light)

Ideal Temperature:
Medium (approx 21°C)

Germination Speed:
Slow (10–21 days)

Foxgloves need light to germinate but they can be slow, so extra care will be needed to ensure seeds do not dry out whilst germinating. Some sort of dome to keep the humidity up really helps improve and make their germination more consistent.

Plant Type:
Hardy Annual

Ideal Location:
Full Sun / Partial Shade

Spacing:
30–40cm

Height:
70cm+

Dalmatian & Camelot series of foxgloves are best treated like hardy annuals. They can be succession sown throughout the year for multiple harvests. Overwintered plants will be significantly larger than later plantings. Though they do no thrive in particularly wet winters, so some years later plantings may do better.

All parts of these plants are poisonous, including the seeds. Wash hands after handling.
